Renowned music composer Amjad Bobby remembered on death anniversary 

Lahore (Web Desk): The death anniversary of legendary Pakistani music composer Amjad Bobby was observed on Tuesday, remembering his remarkable contributions to the country’s film industry.

Born in 1942 in Amritsar, he moved to Pakistan with his family following the Partition. From an early age, his passion for music led him to work alongside some of the most respected composers of the time, including A. Hameed, Nashad, Nisar Bazmi, Khwaja Khurshid Anwar, and Rasheed Attre. These formative experiences shaped his distinct musical voice.

Amjad Bobby’s journey as a composer began in 1969 with the film Aik Nagina, which paved the way for a prolific career spanning several decades.

He went on to score music for numerous celebrated films that left an enduring impact on Pakistani cinema, such as Bobby, Lazawaal, Sangam, Ghunghat, Koi Tujh Sa Kahan, Inteha, and Yeh Dil Aap Ka Hua.

Bobby’s melodies, known for their emotional depth and memorable arrangements, earned him widespread acclaim. Over the years, he received four prestigious Nigar Awards in recognition of his outstanding work, with honours coming in 1983, 1996, 1997, and 2002.

Amjad Bobby passed away on April 15, 2005, in Lahore, leaving behind a legacy that continues to resonate with music lovers across generations.

His contributions remain an integral part of Pakistan’s cultural heritage, and his work is fondly remembered for its timeless appeal and soulful expression.
