PSL 10: Multan Sultans set 229-run target for Lahore Qalandars 

Multan (Web Desk): Multan Sultans set a target of 229 runs for Lahore Qalandars in the 12th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

After wining the toss, Multan Sultans decided to bat first and posted 228 runs for the loss of five wickets in stipulated 20 overs.

Opener Yasir Khan delivered a dazzling knock, scoring an explosive 87 runs off just 44 balls, while captain Mohammad Rizwan contributed a steady 32 runs. Usman Khan played a valuable hand with 39 runs, and Ashton Turner added 15 runs to the total.

In the final stages, Iftikhar Ahmed provided a blistering finish, remaining unbeaten on 40 runs off just 18 balls, propelling the team to a commanding total of 228 runs.

For Lahore Qalandars, Rashid Hussain was the standout bowler, claiming two wickets, while Sikandar Raza, Shaheen Afridi, and Asif Afridi each took a wicket apiece. With a daunting target of 229 runs ahead, Lahore Qalandars now face a formidable challenge in their pursuit of victory.

Multan Sultans are in search of their first victory in the ongoing tournament, as the home side continues to struggle at the bottom of the points table with three defeats in as many matches.

Under the captaincy of Muhammad Rizwan, the Sultans have suffered losses against Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, and defending champions Islamabad United, putting them in a must-win situation as the tournament progresses.
