Karachi (Web Desk): The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan surged to an all-time high on Wednesday, rising by Rs8,600 per tola to reach Rs348,000.
All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), this marks a notable increase from Rs339,400 recorded during the previous trading session.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold experienced a sharp rise of Rs7,373, bringing the new price to Rs298,353 from its earlier level of Rs290,980. The 10-gram price of 22-karat gold also saw an upward adjustment, climbing from Rs266,741 to Rs273,500.
Silver prices followed the upward trend as well. The cost of one tola of silver increased by Rs63 to settle at Rs3,460, while the price for 10 grams went up by Rs54, reaching Rs2,966.
The price of gold in the international market increased by $86 to $3,310 from $3,224 whereas that of silver also increased by $0.63 and at $32.98, the association reported.
