Security forces kill 6 Khwarij in KP IBOs: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces have killed six Khwarij in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on April 20-21 April , the military’s media wing said on Monday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), n reported presence of Khwarij, an intelligence based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in general area Razmak, North Waziristan District.

“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, resultantly, five khwarij were sent to hell,” it said.

In another intelligence based operation in South Waziristan District, own troops effectively neutralized kharji ring leader Zabi Ullah Zakran, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as in target killing of innocent civilians and was highly wanted by the Law Enforcement Agencies.

The military’s media wing said that sanitization operation was being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area.

“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to security forces for successful operations against Khwarij in North and South Waziristan.

In their separate statements on Monday, they applauded the bravery of troops for killing the Khwarij.  

Reaffirming the commitment to root out terrorism, the president and prime minister said the entire nation stands united alongside the security forces against terrorism.
