PSL 10: Multan Sultans win toss, opt to bat first against Lahore Qalandars 

Multan (Web Desk): Multan Sultans won the toss and decided to bat first against Lahore Qalandars in the 12th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Multan Sultans are in search of their first victory in the ongoing tournament, as the home side continues to struggle at the bottom of the points table with three defeats in as many matches.

Under the captaincy of Muhammad Rizwan, the Sultans have suffered losses against Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, and defending champions Islamabad United, putting them in a must-win situation as the tournament progresses.

Their next challenge comes against Lahore Qalandars, who are currently sitting comfortably in third place.

The Shaheen Afridi-led Qalandars started their campaign with a defeat at the hands of Islamabad United but quickly found their rhythm, bouncing back with two consecutive wins over Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings.

The clash between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars is expected to be a pivotal fixture, especially for the Sultans, who will be desperate to turn their fortunes around in front of their home crowd.

PSL 10 kicked off on Friday, April 11, and will run until Sunday, May 18 May, offering fans a thrilling spectacle of 34 matches featuring six teams battling it out for the title.

The tournament is spread across four iconic venues in Pakistan.

Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 matches, including the high-stakes Eliminators and the grand final, which promises to deliver a fitting climax to the season.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is set to host 11 matches, with the all-important Qualifier 1 scheduled for May 13.

Meanwhile, Karachi's National Bank Stadium and the Multan Cricket Stadium will each witness five matches, adding to the nationwide cricket fever.
