Islamabad (Web Desk): A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders held a meeting with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi, where they shared their recommendations for reforming the country's judicial system.

The delegation included prominent figures such as Omar Ayub, Barrister Gohar, Sardar Latif Khosa, Shibli Faraz, and Salman Akram Raja.

Addressing the press conference alongside other delegation members fter the meeting, Omar Ayub said that the discussion had been approved by PTI’s founder, Imran Khan.

He emphasized that they had conveyed the party's concerns on various matters to the Chief Justice.

Omar said that one of the main points, raised during the meeting, was the repeated delays in the hearings of Imran Khan’s cases.

PTI leaders pointed out the disruption caused by the frequent rescheduling of these hearings.

They also expressed frustration over the denial of Khan's family visits and his inability to communicate with his children, despite court orders, which they argued went against established prison protocols.

Salman Akram Raja took the opportunity to discuss the issue of military courts, voicing PTI's position on the matter.

The delegation also briefed the CJP on the growing crisis of enforced disappearances in different parts of the country, especially in Balochistan, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

They drew attention to the deteriorating situation in Balochistan, where separatist sentiments are reportedly on the rise.

In addition, Ayub touched on Pakistan’s ongoing economic difficulties, which include soaring inflation, rising unemployment, and a sharp decrease in the purchasing power of ordinary citizens.

The delegation also raised concerns about constitutional amendments, particularly those aimed at addressing the aftermath of the events of May 9 and November 26.

They emphasized the need for a commission to investigate the issues surrounding Imran Khan's letters regarding these incidents.

PTI leaders also spoke out about the alleged false charges being placed against their party workers.

They criticized the failure to implement legal orders related to the detention of Members of the National Assembly and raised alarm about the intimidation faced by lawyers who were advocating for PTI members.

The PTI leaders also highlighted the increasing role of intelligence agencies in Punjab, claiming that these agencies were working in tandem with the police, which they believed was negatively impacting the political and legal processes.
