Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, who also heads the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), said that the walk-in vaccination for people aged 30 and above will begin from Saturday.
In his message on Twitter on Friday, the minister urged all the citizens who are 30 or older and registered for COVID-19 vaccination to go to any center and get vaccinated.
In the NCOC meeting today it was decided to open up walk in vaccination for 30 plus from tomorrow . So if you are 30 or older and registered please go to any vaccination centre and get vaccinated

Meanwhile, the NCOC, to ensure safe environment for education and conduct of exams, announced to open walk-in vaccination for teachers above 18 years of age.
In a message on Twitter, the NCOC wrote, “Teachers can walk-in to any vaccination center with CNIC, stamped letter from head of Institution / Teachers’ ID Card, and get themselves vaccinated.”

On the other hand, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 913,784 on Friday after 2,726 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.
As per National Command and Operation (NCOC) data, 51,625 tests were conducted while positivity ratio remained 4.80%.
According to the government's COVID-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached to 20,607 with 67 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.
Over the last twenty four hours, total number of recovered COVID-19 patients across the country reached 834,566 after another 2,822 virus recoveries were reported.
