PSL 10: Lahore Qalandars set 129-run target for Peshawar Zalmi

Lahore (Web Desk): In the 14th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Lahore Qalandars were dismissed for just 128 runs, handing Peshawar Zalmi a target of 129 to win.

The match was played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to field first a decision that proved fruitful.

Lahore’s innings got off to a disastrous start, with half of the team back in the pavilion at just 34 runs. Fakhar Zaman scored 10, Asif Ali 5, Abdullah Shafique was dismissed for a duck, and Daryl Mitchell managed only 2 runs. Later, Sam Billings was sent back for 9, becoming Ali Raza’s victim with the team’s total at just 44.

All-rounder Sikandar Raza tried to stabilize the innings, playing a crucial knock of 52 runs off 37 balls, including 3 sixes and 5 fours. He built minor partnerships with captain Shaheen Shah Afridi (16), Rashid Hussain (13), and Haris Rauf (10) to help his team cross the 100-run mark.

The most effective bowler for Peshawar was Alzarri Joseph, who took 3 wickets. Luke Wood and Hussain Talat claimed 2 wickets each, while Arif Yaqoob and Ali Raza picked up one wicket apiece.
