Garhi Khuda Bux (Web Desk): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari raised significant concerns about the foreign support behind Imran Khan and questioned the motives of those backing him.
Addressing the gathering at of Benazir Bhutto’s 17th death anniversary, he pointed out that the same powers supporting the PTI leader were also opposed to Pakistan’s nuclear and missile capabilities.
Bilawal warned of a continuing global conspiracy aimed at weakening Pakistan, particularly its defense and strategic strength.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s nuclear and missile programs would not be compromised under the leadership of the PPP.
The PPP chief also reflected on the tragic assassination of Benazir Bhutto, suggesting that those responsible believed her death would silence the voices of Pakistan’s diverse regions and lead to a country governed by puppets, willing to trade the nation’s rights and principles for the sake of power.
Bilawal criticized the current government, labeling it as a puppet regime that was jeopardizing Pakistan's future in exchange for political control.
He lamented the hardships Pakistanis have faced since 2007, pointing to the failure of the leadership to deliver on promises made to the people, especially regarding the country’s economic development and the well-being of its underdeveloped regions.
While acknowledging that the PPP’s role in the current government was limited, Bilawal made it clear that the party would continue to fight for the rights of the people.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s challenges—whether economic, security-related, or political—could only be overcome through unity and collaboration among all political parties.
The PPP chief urged the government to abandon unilateral decision-making and instead prioritize collective action, as decisions made with broad consensus would provide the most effective solutions.
Bilawal stressed that PPP, though not a majority in the National Assembly, remained deeply committed to the accountability of the people, standing firmly by its principles of transparency and governance for the people’s benefit.
