Lahore (Web Desk): Corps Commander Bahawalpur Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has decided to seek early retirement.
“Yes, Gen Saab has decided to seek early retirement,” confirmed his family sources.
News of Lt General Hamid’s retirement comes a day after family sources of Lt General Azhar Abbas said that Pakistan Army’s Chief of General Staff (CGS) had sought early retirement as well.
The both army officers were among the six most senior generals considered for the posts of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
