Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the minister said that he tested positive for coronavirus. Shafqat Mahmood added that he was feeling fine with mild symptoms.

Earlier today, the minister took part in an event before he tested positive for the virus.
On Monday, Shafqat Mahmood had also chaired an online meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) where it was decided to hold board exams across the country after June 20.
In March, the education minister had said that he had gotten vaccinated for COVID-19 at the Polyclinic in Islamabad.
On the other hand, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 905,852 on Tuesday after 2,253 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.
As per National Command and Operation (NCOC) data 46,726 tests were conducted while positivity ratio remained 4.82%.
According to the government's COVID-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached to 20,400 with 92 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.
Over the last twenty four hours, total number of recovered COVID-19 patients across the country reached 823,157 after another 2,783 virus recoveries were reported.
Meanwhile, Pakistan on Monday announced that it has developed a homemade vaccine 'PakVac' with the help of China's Cansino Bio after rigorous quality control checks.
