Bilawal forms committee to engage with federal govt on provincial issues

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has established a committee to address various ongoing issues between the provincial and federal governments.

According to details, the committee, which will be led by key figures from the party, includes Raja Pervez Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman, and representatives from provincial governments such as Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti.

Other notable members include Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Hyder, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, and Ali Haider Gilani.

The committee’s primary responsibility will be to engage with the federal government on these concerns and ensure they are raised at the appropriate level.

The findings and recommendations from these discussions will be compiled into a report, which will be presented at the upcoming Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting scheduled for next month.

The notification announcing the formation of the committee was issued by Bilawal’s Political Secretary, Jameel Soomro, on Wednesday.

As per the party sources, this move reflects the PPP’s proactive stance in addressing key governance challenges and reinforcing its role in federal-provincial dialogues.
