Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur visited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former premier Imran Khan at Adiala Jail to discuss the party’s protest scheduled for November 24.
According to sources, during the meeting, the two leaders also discussed the party’s security plans and the strategies for engaging in the Apex Committee, which is a key body for coordinating decisions at both the provincial and federal levels.
Ahead of Gandapur’s visit, heightened security measures were put in place along Adiala Road and in the surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi has called on PTI supporters to view the upcoming protest as a crucial stand for the future of Pakistan, rather than simply a demand for her husband's release.
In a recently emerged audio recording, she guided party workers on how to organise the protests and ensure their message reached the masses.
She emphasized that it was important to include the general public in the demonstrations, not just PTI members.
Workers were encouraged to record videos during the protests, making sure both party supporters and ordinary citizens were visible in the footage.
Bushra Bibi also advised the workers to make alternate plans for communication in case of an internet shutdown, ensuring that the protest's message would still spread.
She further highlighted the role of social media, urging YouTubers and influencers to capture live footage of the protest and share it widely, to keep the public informed.
Additionally, she reassured workers that any protestor injured during the demonstration would be cared for by their respective elected representatives, emphasizing that no one would be left behind.
She also addressed concerns about arrests, stressing that video evidence would be essential, and no excuses would be accepted if such evidence was not available.
The former first lady framed the protest as more than just a fight for Imran Khan’s release, describing it as a battle for the nation’s honour and future.
She concluded by reinforcing the idea that true loyalty to one’s leader and country is the mark of a true Muslim.
