Lahore/Quetta/Karachi/Peshawar (Staff Report/Agencies): The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 1,520,634 on Thursday after 514 new cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.
Overall 572,868 cases were confirmed in Sindh, 504,142 in Punjab, 218,433 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 35,453 in Balochistan, 134,887 in Islamabad, 11,651 in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and 43,200 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
As per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data, 38,595 tests were conducted in last 24 hours while positivity ratio remained 1.33%.
According to the government's COVID-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached to 30,319 with 2 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.
Over the last twenty four hours, total number of recovered COVID-19 patients across the country reached 1,472,828 after another 537 virus recoveries were reported.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 deaths around the world are currently at their lowest in more than a year and a half, according to authentic statistics.
There were an average of 5,959 deaths from October 20 to 26, 2020, with the toll rising to 6,013 deaths during March 8 to 14, 2022.
It is pertinent to mention that the global coronavirus cases have reportedly surpassed 464,497 million and death toll tops 6,081,473.
