Oslo (Web Desk): A global gathering will take place in Norway on Wednesday, with representatives from dozens of countries joining forces to discuss a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Norway’s foreign ministry stated.

According to international media, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa, Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the United Nations’ (UN) Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA, and UN envoy to the Middle East Tor Wennesland are among the notable figures expected to attend.

Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide emphasized the need for continued efforts to end the ongoing war in Gaza, while also advocating for a sustainable resolution that ensures security, justice, and self-determination for both Palestinians and Israelis.

Eide pointed out that while there is widespread support for a two-state solution, the international community must take further action to bring it to fruition.

More than 80 countries and organizations are expected to participate in the meeting, although no official Israeli delegation has been confirmed.
