Islamabad (Web Desk): Turkish President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to arrive in Pakistan on Wednesday for a two-day visit, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes ministers, senior officials, and corporate leaders, President Erdogan’s visit is expected to enhance the longstanding bilateral ties between the two nations.
During the visit, President Erdogan and PM Shehbaz will jointly preside over the 7th Session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC).
At the conclusion of the session, a Joint Declaration is anticipated, along with the signing of several key agreements and memorandums of understanding across various sectors.
In addition to the HLSCC meeting, President Erdogan will hold bilateral talks with both PM Shehbaz and President Asif Ali Zardari.
Together with the PM Shehbaz, President Erdogan will also address the Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum, bringing together leading businesspeople, investors, and companies from both countries.
The HLSCC is the highest-level forum for decision-making in strengthening the strategic relationship between Pakistan and Turkey.
Under this framework, several Joint Standing Committees (JSCs) address areas such as trade, defense, energy, agriculture, tourism, culture, science, technology, IT, health, and education.
With six previous sessions held, the council plays a critical role in deepening cooperation between the two nations.
The upcoming visit of President Erdogan, which marks the 7th session of the HLSCC, is poised to further fortify the close ties between Turkey and Pakistan.
Both countries are committed to advancing collaboration in multiple areas, reinforcing their historic friendship and mutual interest in economic and strategic partnerships.
This visit comes at a crucial time to deepen multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
