Security forces rescue 8 out of 17 workers kidnapped by terrorists in Lakki Marwat

Lakki Marwat (Web Desk): The security forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) on Thursday recovered 8 out of 17 civilian workers, kidnapped by terrorists affiliated with Fitna-al-Khwarij in the Kabal Khel area of Lakki Marwat.

According to security sources, a group of civilian works was taken hostage by armed assailants in what appears to be an extortion attempt.

The attackers also set fire to a vehicle belonging to a local contractor at the site, adding to the chaos.

The authorities condemned the act, asserting that such violent crimes have no basis in the teachings of Islam or any religious principles.

In response to the hostage situation, the security forces launched an immediate operation, successfully freeing eight of the captured workers so far.

The officials remain hopeful that the remaining hostages will be released soon, as efforts continue to resolve the situation safely and without further harm.

The security officials said that these ferocious acts of Fitna-al-Khawarij against Pakistan and the people have nothing to do with Islam.

"The perpetrators of this heinous crime will face justice," affirmed the officials.

The operation underscores the state’s resolve to combat terrorism and protect its people.
