Rawalpindi (Web Desk/Agencies): Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has urged Ulema and Mashaikh to encourage tolerance and unity in the society and discourage extremism and division.
Addressing the National Ulema and Mashaikh Convention in Islamabad today, he asked the Ulema to bring the society back to moderation and negate anarchy (Fasaad-Fil-Arz).
The army chief said that spreading unrest is the biggest crime and Pakistan Army under the ordains of Allah Almighty is striving to eliminate unrest. He said we do not consider such people as Pakistanis who do not accept Shariat and the Constitution.
Acknowledging the unmatched sacrifices rendered by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), General Asim Munir said the entire Pakistani nation salutes them for their services and sacrifices.
Talking about Afghanistan, the army chief said that Pakistan has been hosting millions of Afghans for the last four decades.
He said we are convincing them to refrain from opposing a brotherly Islamic country like Pakistan for the sake of Khawarij.
“Smugglers and mafia are supporting terrorism while anarchy is also being spread through social media,” the COAS said.
The army chief expressed the resolve to give a befitting response if anyone attempts to create unrest and chaos in Pakistan.
“No power in the world can harm Pakistan because this country has been created to sustain. He said millions of Asim Munirs, politicians and scholars can be sacrificed for Pakistan because country is more important than us,”.the COAS said.
In his remarks about the respect and finality of the Prophethood, General Syed Asim Munir categorically stated that no one can dare disrespect the Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him.
“The western culture and way of life are not our ideals and we should be proud of our own civilization,” the army chief asserted.
About Kashmir, the COAS said that Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of the partition of the Sub-continent
Regarding Palestine, General Asim Munir said our hearts bleed while seeing atrocities in Palestine. He said it is a lesson from the situation of Palestine that we will have to protect ourselves and make Pakistan stronger.
