Muzaffarabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan's unflinching and continuous political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination.

Addressing a special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day, the premier called on India to engage in genuine and decisive negotiations aimed at resolving the long-standing Kashmir dispute.

He that the people of Pakistan stand firmly with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

Remembering the martyrs of Kashmir's freedom struggle, PM Shehbaz said that that February 5 is a day to renew Pakistan's dedication to their cause.

He said the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam had already declared Kashmir as jugular vein of Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz condemned the growing Indian military presence in the disputed region, asserting that, despite India's repression, the determination of Kashmiris for freedom continues to strengthen.

He reiterated that Pakistan would always stand by Kashmiris until they achieved their rightful self-determination.

The prime minister reminded India that Kashmir’s future can never be decided by force and that the region’s status must be settled in line with United Nations (UN) resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

PM Shehbaz urged India to abandon its 2019 stance, which revoked Kashmir’s special status, warning that continuing to spill Kashmiri blood would only deepen the issue and invite historical accountability.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s nuclear status, the prime minister vowed to advocate for Kashmiris’ rights on every global platform, including the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Addressing the special session, AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq said that Pakistan's support for Kashmir has remained steadfast and will continue.

He declared that Kashmir is an "unfinished" part of Pakistan’s national agenda, emphasizing that securing Kashmir’s future is a priority for Pakistan.

Haq praised PM Shehbaz for his continued efforts in addressing the challenges faced by AJK and highlighted the vital role of Pakistan's leadership in safeguarding Kashmir's cause.

Despite the economic hardships faced by Pakistan, he emphasized that the government continues to prioritize essential needs like affordable electricity and food supplies.

Taking a jibe at India, he noted that even Indian leaders before Narendra Modi could not ensure electricity at the rates currently available in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

The AJK premier also criticized India's imposition of a "puppet" leadership in occupied Kashmir, asserting that only Kashmiris should have the right to determine their future.

Both leaders stressed that a strong, prosperous, and united Pakistan is essential for the success of the Kashmiri freedom movement, underscoring the importance of national stability in achieving the region’s rightful resolution.

On this day every year, Pakistan marks Kashmir Solidarity Day, to extend its support for the Kashmir cause, with various events such as human chains at key locations and billboards displaying the plight of Kashmiris.
