Mianwali (Web Desk): The Punjab Police have foiled a terrorist attack with full force on Qabool Khan Police check post in the jurisdiction of Isa Khel Police Station in Mianwali.
According to a spokesman of the Punjab police, spokesperson, between 12 and 14, terrorists took advantage of the darkness to launch their assault on the Qabul Khel checkpoint.
He said that the brave response from the police forced the attackers to flee from the spot.
The spokesperson said that two police officers sustained minor injuries during the incident, and a search operation has been initiated in the area to apprehend the fleeing terrorists.
Punjab Inspector General (IG) Usman Anwar appreciated the bravery of police personnel.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has commended the police for foiling the terrorist attack on a check post in Mianwali.
He said that the Punjab Police has once again thwarted the nefarious designs of the Fitna Al Khawarij terrorists.
The minister praised the police personnel deployed at the Isa Khel police station checkpost for bravely repulsing the attack by 14 Khawarij terrorists.
He said that the police gave a befitting response to the terrorists who attacked under the cover of darkness.
The interior minister saluted the brave police personnel who foiled the terrorist attack, saying that the Punjab Police had once again thwarted the evil intentions of the Khawarij terrorists.
Naqvi said that that the police have always shown bravery and courage in the fight against terrorism.
He added that the police are a bulwark against terrorism, which is highly commendable.
