Islamabad (Web Desk): over one thousand Pakistanis have been evacuated from Sudan, the Foreign Office (FO) stated on Tuesday.
In a statement, the FO spokesperson said that Pakistan's evacuation operations have ended in Sudan.
The statement further said the evacuations through Jeddah will continue until last Pakistani returns safely.
It said that the evacuation was carried out with the help of Saudi Arabia and China.
By Allah’s grace and tireless efforts of our embassy in Khartoum led by Amb Regi, supported by ???????? and ???????? and our teams in Jeddah and Islamabad, we have successfully & safely evacuated over 1000 Pakistanis out of Sudan. With this our evacuation operations out of Sudan have ended.

In a separate tweet, Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed Khan said that the number of Pakistanis taken out of Sudan was 1,025. He also said repatriations from Jeddah would continue until the “last Pakistani is eventually brought back”.

On April 29, a batch of 97 Pakistani nationals from Port Sudan arrived at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi from Jeddah via C-130 aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
The first batch of 149 Pakistanis evacuated from Sudan arrived safely in Karachi on April 28.
A second batch of 111 stranded Pakistanis also arrived in Karachi the same day.
The PAF has been making efforts to repatriate stranded Pakistanis in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the Pakistan embassies in Sudan and Saudi Arabia.
On the other hand, fierce fighting between rival generals raged on in Sudan on Tuesday despite the latest truce, as warnings multiplied of the potential for a “catastrophic” humanitarian crisis with hundreds of thousands of refugees.
On April 15, fighting broke out in Sudan between forces loyal to army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and his former deputy Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, who commands the powerful paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
A per the foreign media reports, hundreds have been killed and thousands wounded as air strikes and artillery exchanges have gripped swathes of greater Khartoum sparking the exodus of thousands of Sudanese to neighbouring countries.
