Islamabad (Web Desk): The government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are scheduled to resume their negotiations today, with the second round of talks now set for 3:30pm, after the meeting was rescheduled from its original 11am timing at the request of committee members.
The in-camera session, to be held in the Constitution Committee Room of the Parliament House, will be chaired by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, who has been facilitating the discussions between the two sides.
Meanwhile, the PTI has finalised its set of demands ahead of the meeting.
Sources close to the party revealed that these demands were carefully drafted after consulting the leadership to ensure they aligned with the party's objectives.
The demands, which are centered around two primary issues, will be presented to the government during the dialogue.
As per the sources, the first demand calls for the release of all PTI political prisoners, while the second seeks the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9 and November 26, both of which were marked by widespread protests and unrest.
All members of the PTI’s negotiation committee will participate in the meeting.
