Lahore (Staff Report): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday suspended fast bowler Mohammad Irfan contract for six months and fined him Rs 1,000,000 in the aftermath of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing scandal.
The PCB said it had suspended his contract for one year with the possibility of a review in six months after Irfan formally accepted his failure to report the fact that two bookies had approached him during the PSL tournament.
Meanwhile, Irfan said, “it was my mistake. I apologise if I hurt anyone.”
