Islamabad: Barrister Gohar Khan on Monday announced that the PTI-backed wining independent candidates will join the Sunni Ittehad Council.
“Our candidates in the National Assembly, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies will join the Sunni Ittehad Council,” said the PTI leader Barrister Gohar Khan.
Meanwhile, the PTI also filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) seeking allocation of the reserved seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
The PTI, in the petition, stated that the candidates had mentioned the name of the party in their nomination papers so they should be identified as such and allocated reserved seats.
The party has named the Election Commission of Pakistan as a party in the case.
The party won 84 seats out of 113 in KP.
