E-Office system will save money, bring transparency: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the implementation of E-Office system can save billions of rupees of national exchequer.

Chairing an important review meeting regarding the transfer of federal government ministries and institutions to E-Office here on Saturday, the PM said minimizing the use of paper will also have a positive impact on the environment.

The PM maintained the main purpose of using E-Office is to provide the best services to the public and to bring transparency in the government system. He directed to expedite progress on cooperation agreement with Chinese company Huawei.

The meeting was briefed about the E-Office system and the progress on its implementation and reforms.

Earlier the day, the premier extended warm greetings and best wishes to Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani on the auspicious occasion of Eid.

During a telephonic conversation today, the two leaders exchanged views on the importance of Eid ul Adha, which symbolizes sacrifice, compassion and unity.

At this joyous moment, both the leaders also spoke about the plight of the brave and innocent people of Palestine and urged the international community to redouble peace efforts and ensure an immediate end to violence and bloodshed in the region.

The Prime Minister and the Amir reaffirmed the strong bond of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Qatar, rooted in shared values and mutual respect.

They discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.
