Lahore (Staff Report): Pakistan’s legendary cricketer and former Test captain Waseem Akram has now switched into another profession, as he joined multi-national Taxi service Careem as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
This could be an honorary position as it could be difficult for Wasim Akram to run day-to-day operations of the company.
Company officials said, "We trust and respect Wasim Akram for his cricketing abilities, however it’s hard to predict his career as head of a tech company."
A leaked picture of Careem contract has been circulating on the internet stating Wasim Akram as the honorary CEO of Careem Pakistan – effective from 16th April 2017. Here is the picture:
The sources have confirmed, the head of Careem Junaid is still intact and is very much with Careem.
