Agra (Web Desk): An Indian young woman attacked her husband with a sickle for trying to check her WhatsApp messages and call records, Indian media reported.
According to Times of India, the woman allegedly attacked Netrapal Singh when he tried to check her WhatsApp records over suspicion of having extramarital affair.
He was taken to SN Medical College and was given multiple stitches on his head.
Netrapal, 21, got married to Nitu Singh, 19, in 2014, but the couple used to stay apart but last month, Nitu came to her husband’s house for a family function.
Netrapal said that he found her wife chatting with someone alse and attacked him when he asked with whom she was chatting.
After the incident, Nitu tried to elope with her boyfriend, but the two were caught and thrashed by Netrapal’s relatives.
Meanwhile, Nitu claimed that her husband hit himself with sickle to put her into trouble.
Station officer of Kheragarh, Ajay Singh, said, “We have detained the woman and are waiting for a written complaint from the victim’s family.”
