Khatm-e-Nabuwwat conference: Five PML-N lawmakers resign over inaction against Sanaullah

Faisalabad (Staff Report/Agencies): At least five PML-N lawmakers have announced their resignations from public office.

During a Khatm-e-Nabuwwat conference organised by Pir Sialvi in Faisalabad on Sunday, MNAs Dr Nisar Ahmad Jutt and Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, and Punjab MPAs Maulana Rehmatullah, Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi's son Nizam-ud-Din Sialvi, and Khan Muhammad Baloch announced their resignations protesting government inaction against their demand for the resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan over his recent alleged pro-Ahmadi comments.

Sialvi, a spiritual leader and custodian of Sial Sharif Shrine of Sargodha, is attending the Khatam-e-Nabuwwat (PBUH) Conference at Faisalabad's Dhobi Ghat. He said at least 15 parliamentarians “spiritually associated” with the Sial Sharif shrine would tender their resignations at a public meeting scheduled for Dec 10 in Faisalabad.

Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and Punjab Auqaf Minister Zaeem Qadri have been negotiating with Pir Sialvi over the issue.
