SC suspends IHC order barring Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri from judicial work

Islamabad  (Web Desk): The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court has accepted the appeal filed by Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri and set aside the interim order that was previously issued against him. This means that the temporary suspension or restriction placed on Justice Jahangiri has been declared invalid by the highest court.

During the proceedings, the Attorney General of Pakistan emphasized that a judge cannot be prevented from carrying out judicial functions through an interim order. The statement highlights the principle of judicial independence, underscoring that judges must be allowed to perform their duties without undue interference or restrictions imposed by temporary rulings.

This decision by the Supreme Court reaffirms the importance of maintaining the integrity and autonomy of the judiciary and ensures that Justice Jahangiri can resume his judicial responsibilities without any legal hindrance.
