Gold price decreases by Rs3,800 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a notable decline on Thursday, dropping Rs3,800 per tola as the rate of 24-karat gold settled at Rs453,436, compared with Rs457,236 on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-karat gold for 10 grams also moved lower by Rs3,257, falling from Rs392,006 to Rs388,749. Similarly, 22-karat gold saw a reduction of Rs2,987, with its 10-gram price decreasing from Rs359,351 to Rs356,364.

A similar drop was witnessed in the international bullion market, where gold became cheaper by $38 per ounce, slipping to $4,309 from the earlier level of $4,347.

Silver prices also weakened in the domestic market. The rate of 24-karat silver declined by Rs73 per tola, reaching Rs6,869 against the previous price of Rs6,942.

The 10-gram price of 24-karat silver also decreased by Rs62, falling from Rs5,951 to Rs5,889. In the global market, silver prices dropped by $0.73 per ounce, settling at $63.91 compared with $64.64 previously.
