Supreme Court schedules hearing for justice Tariq Jahangiri's appeal

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Supreme Court of Pakistan has scheduled the hearing of Justice Tariq Jahangiri's appeal before a constitutional bench on September 29. A five-member bench, headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan, will conduct the hearing.

The bench will also include Justices Jamal Mandokhel, Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Hassan Azhar Rizvi, and Shahid Bilal Hassan.

Justice Tariq Jahangiri has filed an appeal against the interim order in his case regarding the alleged fake degree.

Earlier, on September 16, a two-member bench, led by Justice Sarfraz Dogar, had suspended Justice Jahangiri from his judicial duties. Justice Jahangiri has requested the court to annul the high court's order and stop any further proceedings on the matter.
