Islamabad (Web Desk): Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, who also heads the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), said on Thursday that Pakistan had reached the milestone of administrating 40 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
In a post on Twitter, he said that the last 10 million took only 9 working days to administer.
The minister urged the citizens to get vaccinated against the virus and make Pakistan safe from the disease.

On August 3, it was reported that Pakistan passed a major milestone of vaccinating 1 million people in a single day against the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the NCOC on Wednesday announced that complete COVID-19 vaccination certificates would become mandatory for air travel after September 10.
The interval between the first and second doses of all types of vaccines is reduced from 42 days to 28 days, the forum added.
The decision was made in consultation with the Ministry of Health and medical experts, it said.
Earlier on Monday, the NCOC had also announced that only vaccinated individuals would be allowed to travel by train from October 1.
On the other hand, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases rose to 1,085,294 on Thursday after 4,934 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country during the last 24 hours.
As per the NCOC data, 59,397 tests were conducted in last 24 hours while positivity ratio remained 8.30%.
According to the government's COVID-19 portal, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached to 24,187 with 102 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours.
Over the last twenty four hours, total number of recovered COVID-19 patients across the country reached 975,474 after another 3,376 virus recoveries were reported.
