Islamabad (Staff Report): The government has announced that Dr Atif Mian has agreed to step down from the Economic Advisory Council (EAC).
According to details, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry in a twitter message said that the government has decided to withdraw Dr Mian's appointment from EAC.
"The government wants to take ulema and all social classes together and move forward," Chauhdry added.
Fawad Chaudhry further said is not favourable if one appointment causes differences.

On Tuesday, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry while defending the appointment of Atif Mian said Pakistan belongs to minorities as much as it belongs to others.
“What should we do with the minorities in the country?" he had asked. "Should we throw them out?”
The information minister had also questioned, “What is wrong with the appointment of him as a member of the EAC?
“This is the person everyone is saying will be the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in the next five years. Why should we not appoint him?” he added.
“It is not like we have appointed him as a member of the Islamic Council,” the information further said.
On September 1, Prime Minister Imran Khan constituted an 18-member Economic Advisory Council (EAC).
Out of these 18 members 7 belong to government while 11 are from the private sector.
