Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan has decided to re-open four border points with Iran from July 5 (Sunday).
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior on Friday, Crossings at Gabd, Mand, Katagar, and Chedgi will be opened in the light of the decision taken by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
The borders will remain open seven days a week from morning to evening only for trade.
Earlier on June 19, Pakistan also reopened its border with Iran at Taftan to resume uninterrupted mutual trade with strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.
Meanwhile, mango export to Iran from Pakistan had also been resumed.
The border was closed on March 17 after the coronavirus outbreak in Iran. Bilateral trade activities resumed in May but thrice a week only.
Pakistan and Iran share over 900km-long border. Thousands of Pakistanis visit Iran via the Taftan border every year.
