2nd T20I: Pakistan defeat Bangladesh by 57 runs

Lahore (Web Desk):In a dominant performance at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 57 runs in the second T20I of the three-match series, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead. The final game of the series will be played on June 1.

This victory marks Pakistan’s first T20I series win on home soil since 2021 — a significant achievement for the national side.

Batting first, Pakistan posted a strong total of 201 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Sahibzada Farhan, who replaced Fakhar Zaman in the lineup, led the charge with an impressive 74-run knock. Rising star Hasan Nawaz remained unbeaten with a quickfire 51 off 26 deliveries, while Mohammad Haris chipped in with 41 runs and skipper Salman Ali Agha added 19.

Other batters struggled to make an impact: Saim Ayub scored 4, Shadab Khan made 7, and Faheem Ashraf managed just 1 run.

For Bangladesh, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Hasan Mahmud picked up two wickets each, while Rishad Hossain claimed one.

In reply, Bangladesh failed to keep up with the required run rate and were bowled out for 144 in 19 overs. Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack ensured a convincing 57-run win, sealing the series with one match still to go.
