PM Shehbaz lauds security institutions for Ashura arrangements

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to all relevant security institutions and the Ministry of Interior for maintaining law and order and ensuring comprehensive security arrangements across the country during Ashura.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Prime Minister commended the efforts of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, his team, the Pakistan Armed Forces, police, and personnel of all security and law enforcement agencies, describing their performance as highly commendable.

He said that due to coordinated efforts, Ashura concluded peacefully across the country in an atmosphere of stability and order.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the role of provincial governments, as well as the administrations of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, for making effective arrangements to ensure smooth observance of the religious occasion.

He further appreciated all Chief Ministers, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and relevant ministers for implementing foolproof security measures, which contributed to the peaceful conduct of Ashura events nationwide.
