PIA suspends flights to Gulf countries amid rising tnsions in the region

Islamabad (Web Desk): In response to escalating tensions and potential conflict in the Gulf region, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suspended its flight operations to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the decision to halt flights was made in the interest of passenger safety and due to the deteriorating security situation in the region. “Flight operations will resume once conditions return to normal,” the spokesperson stated.

PIA is in contact with affected passengers and is providing assistance with alternative arrangements or refunds where applicable.

UAE and Bahrain Close Airspace, Urge Caution
In related developments, the United Arab Emirates has closed its airspace to all commercial flights following the regional escalation. Bahrain has also shut its airspace and issued a travel advisory, urging citizens to exercise caution and avoid non-essential travel.

Aviation experts warn that if the situation worsens, further disruption to international air travel may occur, affecting routes across the Middle East and beyond.
