Lahore (Web Desk): Lahore Qalandars have booked their place in the final of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 after defeating Islamabad United in the second Eliminator at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Lahore Qalandars won the toss and opted to bat first. Openers Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem began the innings, but Fakhar was dismissed early after scoring just 12 runs.
Mohammad Naeem and Abdullah Shafique then built a solid partnership, contributing 50 and 25 runs respectively. The standout performance came from Kusal Perera, who anchored the innings with a responsible knock of 61 runs.
Thanks to Perera’s efforts and strong middle-order support, Lahore posted a competitive total of 202 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.
In response, Islamabad United struggled to gain momentum as Lahore’s bowlers dominated. Tymal Mills led the attack with 3 wickets, while Salman Irshad chipped in with 2 crucial dismissals.
Islamabad failed to chase down the target, and with this convincing win, Lahore Qalandars advanced to the PSL 10 final, where they will face Quetta Gladiators on May 25.
