PSL 10: Lahore Qalandars defeat Multan Sultans by 5 wickets

Lahore (Web Desk): In the 16th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Lahore Qalandars secured an impressive 5-wicket victory over Multan Sultans.

The thrilling contest took place at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, where Multan Sultans, after being invited to bat first, posted a total of 185 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs, setting Lahore Qalandars a target of 186 runs.

Chasing the target, Lahore's batting lineup performed brilliantly. Daryl Mitchell led the charge with a powerful innings, scoring 64 runs off 38 balls, smashing 4 sixes and 4 fours, playing a pivotal role in his team’s win.

Fakhar Zaman contributed 28 runs, including 2 sixes and 3 boundaries, while Muhammad Naeem could only manage 6 runs.
Abdullah Shafique added a valuable 34 runs before getting out, whereas wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings was dismissed without scoring.
Sikandar Raza remained unbeaten with a crucial 40-run knock, guiding Lahore to victory.

Earlier, Multan Sultans' innings was anchored by captain Mohammad Rizwan, who scored a solid 76 runs. Kamran Ghulam also impressed with an unbeaten 52-run innings. Usman Khan added 18 runs, while Shai Hope chipped in with 9 runs.

Among Lahore’s bowlers, Tom Curran, Haris Rauf, and Daryl Mitchell each took one wicket.
