Baku (Web Desk): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met senior military leaders of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The COAS called on Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan His Excellency Colonel General Eyvazov Vilayat Suleyman Oglu, Chief of State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan His Excellency Colonel General Elchin Guliyev, and Chief of State Security Service His Excellency Colonel General Ali Naghi Oglu Naghiyev at Baku, the statement read.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, bilateral defence and security cooperation, regional peace and stability and cooperation in energy, trade and connectivity projects between both brotherly countries were discussed.
The COAS reiterated increased mutually beneficial engagements at all levels and forums.
On June 21, Gen Bajwa met Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and Defence Minister Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar in Baku.
