PM Shehbaz in Baku to attend Azerbaijan’s Victory Day events

Baku (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached Baku to participate in the celebrations marking the fifth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Victory Day. His visit takes place on the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Upon landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Pakistani premier was welcomed by Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev,

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin, and other members of the diplomatic corps.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar is accompanying the Prime Minister on this official visit.

During his visit, PM will hold a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev to discuss the broad spectrum of bilateral relations and explore new prospects for expanding cooperation in multiple areas, including trade, investment, energy, defence, education, and regional connectivity.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan share deep-rooted and friendly relations built on common faith, shared history, cultural affinity, and mutual respect.

The two nations also maintain close collaboration in regional and global organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and the United Nations (UN).
