Azerbaijan celebrates Victory Day with Pakistan and Turkiye leaders in Baku

Baku (Web Desk): Baku witnessed a grand celebration of Azerbaijan’s Victory Day, marked by the distinguished presence of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Prime Minister Sharif attended the event upon the personal invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The ceremony featured the playing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkey, accompanied by a special parade showcasing a contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

In his address, President Aliyev emphasized the deepening ties between Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkey, expressing his gratitude for their unwavering support during Azerbaijan’s challenging times—a gesture he said would never be forgotten.

He also extended his appreciation to PM Shehbaz and President Erdogan for their participation, noting that the involvement of military units from friendly nations was a matter of immense pride for Azerbaijan.
