DPM Dar in US to attend UNSC signature events 

New York (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in the United States (US) for an important diplomatic visit, during which he will represent Pakistan at several high-level events connected to the country’s presidency of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in New York.

According to details, his trip also includes engagements in Washington aimed at strengthening bilateral and multilateral relationships.

While in New York, FM Dar is scheduled to lead a major open debate at the UN Security Council focused on advancing global peace and security through the promotion of multilateralism and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

This forum is expected to bring together key international voices to deliberate on strengthening dialogue, diplomacy, and international cooperation in resolving disputes.
He will also oversee the Security Council’s quarterly debate on developments in the Middle East, with a particular emphasis on the ongoing Palestinian issue.

As part of Pakistan’s efforts to reinforce collaboration among international organizations, the deputy prime minister will chair a separate high-level briefing dedicated to enhancing cooperation between the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The initiative reflects Islamabad’s commitment to building stronger institutional partnerships for peacekeeping and conflict prevention.

Meanwhile, DPM Dar will attend a major international conference addressing the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian conflict and the realization of the two-state solution. His participation underscores Pakistan’s continued and principled support for the Palestinian people's right to self-determination.

During the course of his visit, DPM Dar he is also expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings with fellow foreign ministers and senior UN officials to discuss pressing regional and global matters, further advancing Pakistan’s foreign policy objectives on the world stage.
