Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices in the domestic market witnessed a decrease on Monday as the rate of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs1,800, settling at Rs522,762 compared with Rs524,562 recorded on the previous trading day, according to figures issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs1,543, bringing it down to Rs448,184 from the earlier price of Rs449,727. The value of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also registered a fall of Rs1,414, reaching Rs410,850 against its previous rate of Rs412,264.
Silver prices also moved downward, with the per tola rate dropping by Rs100 to Rs8,441 from Rs8,541. In the same way, the price of 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs86, falling to Rs7,236 from Rs7,322.
Meanwhile, in the international market, gold prices slipped by $18 to stand at $5,000 per ounce compared to $5,018 previously, while silver prices also edged down by $1.00 to $79.57 per ounce, the association reported.
