Pakistan dispatches 27th humanitarian aid consignment for Palestinians

Islamabad (Web Desk): On the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Wednesday arranged the dispatch of another batch of humanitarian aid for the people of Palestine, underscoring Pakistan’s sustained resolve to assist those suffering amid the ongoing crisis.

According to an NDMA spokesperson, this shipment was the 27th in the series of relief consignments and carried 100 tonnes of supplies, prepared jointly with the Alkhidmat Foundation.

The aid was transported via a special flight that departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.

The consignment included blankets, tarpaulins, clothing and essential kits for women, intended to meet immediate humanitarian demands, particularly those linked to winter hardships.

The official added that with the latest delivery, Pakistan has now sent a total of 2,627 tonnes of relief goods to Palestine through 27 consignments.

A formal send-off ceremony took place at the airport, where Punjab Finance Minister MPA Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Punjab Housing Minister MPA Mian Bilal Yasin attended as chief guests.

Senior officials from the NDMA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with representatives of various government bodies and the Alkhidmat Foundation, were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said that Pakistan, both as a state and as a nation, remained firmly in solidarity with the Palestinian people during this testing period.

He emphasized that efforts would continue to ensure the steady delivery of humanitarian assistance and the fulfillment of the urgent needs of those affected.
