NDMA dispatches additional relief goods for flood-hit areas of Punjab

Islamabad (Web Desk): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched another consignment of relief goods to Muzaffargarh, sending 5,000 tents to provide shelter for families affected by the recent floods.

Out of these, 1,100 tents were transported from Sukkur in eight trucks, while the remaining 3,900 were carried from Jalozai in two convoys using 15 and 16 trucks.

The tents are being handed over to the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) for onward delivery to displaced residents.

According to NDMA, its relief operation in Punjab has so far delivered 2,215 tons of aid items, including blankets, quilts, mosquito nets, water filtration plants, folding beds, water containers, and 17 boats to strengthen ongoing rescue and recovery work.

With the latest consignment, the total number of tents supplied across Punjab has reached 35,000.

The authority stated that it is working in close coordination with civil and military departments and continues to oversee the progress of relief measures under the instructions of the prime minister.
