NDMA dispatches fresh consignment of relief goods to flood-affected Punjab 

Islamabad (Web Desk): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Friday sent a new shipment of relief supplies to flood-hit districts of Punjab, which included 5,000 tents.

These items are being handed over to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab for distribution among families displaced by the disaster.

Acting on special directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the authority has stepped up its efforts in the affected regions, continuing to provide essential support to those suffering from the recent floods.

The latest consignment, dispatched from NDMA’s warehouse in Islamabad, has raised the total amount of assistance delivered to nearly 2,000 tons.

The relief cargo contains vital goods such as quilts, blankets, mosquito nets, water cans, folding beds, water filtration systems, and 17 rescue boats.

NDMA is coordinating its work with both civil and military agencies to ensure efficient operations and is keeping a close watch on the process so that aid reaches vulnerable communities swiftly and effectively.
