Arab summit sent strong message of no more tolerance for Israeli aggression, says PM Shehbaz

Doha (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha had echoed a resolute and collective voice from the Muslim world, making it clear that Israel’s aggression would no longer be endured.

In his meeting with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday, held alongside the Emergency Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha, the prime minister once again denounced in the strongest terms Israel’s attack on Qatar on September 9.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.

Both leaders conveyed unwavering support for Qatar and stressed the importance of Muslim unity in the face of Israeli hostilities.

Recalling the Iranian president’s visit to Pakistan last month, PM Shehbaz reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Tehran across diverse fields.

He also extended warm greetings and regards for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei.

President Pezeshkian praised Pakistan’s principled stance on the Palestinian cause and voiced his commitment to working closely with prime minister Shehbaz to further bolster ties between the two countries.

The two sides agreed to stay engaged given the swiftly changing regional dynamics.
