Pakistan, China vow to strengthen cooperation for regional peace, stability

Tianjin (Web Desk): In a significant diplomatic engagement on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Tianjin, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The meeting underscored the enduring strength of the Pakistan-China partnership and reflected both nations’ shared resolve to bolster cooperation for the advancement of regional peace, stability, and development.

DPM Dar extended warm congratulations to his Chinese counterpart on the successful organization of the SCO ministerial gathering.

He also expressed appreciation to the Chinese leadership for their gracious hospitality and the cordial atmosphere maintained throughout the event.

The two dignitaries engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views on matters of mutual concern.

Among the central topics was the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship initiative of the Belt and Road framework that continues to serve as a cornerstone of bilateral economic cooperation.

The two leaders also explored opportunities for enhanced multilateral coordination, reaffirming their commitment to work together on regional and global platforms.

Both sides conveyed satisfaction with the ongoing strategic collaboration across various sectors and reiterated their unwavering commitment to deepening the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, recognizing it as a key pillar in their foreign policy and regional diplomacy.
