Gold price surges by Rs1,600 to Rs359,700 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Precious metal rates in Pakistan witnessed another notable increase, with gold and silver both climbing in value.

According to the Sindh Sarafa Bazaar Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs1,600, bringing the new rate to Rs359,700.

Similarly, the 10-gram gold price saw an uptick of Rs1,371, reaching Rs308,384.

On the global front, the international gold price increased by $16 per ounce, settling at $3,372.

In addition to gold, silver prices also experienced a hike. The domestic price of silver per tola increased by Rs65, now standing at Rs. 4,087, while in the international market, silver rose by $0.65 per ounce, now priced at $39.03.

Experts attribute the rising trend in gold and silver prices to global economic uncertainties and fluctuations in currency values, which continue to influence local markets.
